Introduction
Remote Desktop Host (RDH) is a lightweight single-user Remote Desktop solution using the standard Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). It is compatible with all versions of Windows 7 and 8.
You must know that Microsoft has removed the Remote Desktop Host feature from the Windows 7 Home/Starter and Windows 8 (Basic) editions. In order to access those Windows editions with any RDP client you have to install an alternative RDP Host solution like Thinstuff RDH (single user) or Thinstuff XP/VS Server (multiple concurrent users).
Because compatible Remote Desktop Connection client software is already preinstalled on most devices and operating systems, seamless integration into existing networks without any hardware or software changes is assured.
Usage
RDH is part of the Thinstuff Remote Desktop solution for home users. It contains two components:
Thinstuff Remote Desktop Host (RDH) expands your Windows 7 or 8 installation for Remote Desktop computing.
Thinstuff Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) is the client application of our solution. Currently it is available for iOS and Android. Clients for MacOS X and Windows are coming soon! More information about RDC can be found here .

Requirements
Client
Basically any RDP enabled client software and device is compatible with Thinstuff RDH.
For a full featured user experience we recommend using Thinstuff RDC.
Host
All Windows 7 and Windows 8 editions are supported!
